Become a Patron

Anyone can browse the library collection.  To borrow books, DVDs, and puzzles from the library you will have to sign up as a patron.  Stop by the library to sign up, or call us at 203 264-6122 and a volunteer will help you over the phone.  

All patrons can browse the collection online or borrow items from the library. You can also create a personal username/password that will allow you to view your own borrowing history. Click below to create your own account.

 
Note that the library can deliver and pick up books from patrons who are unable to visit the library in person. 

Sign up for a personal account

To create your account, follow these steps:

• Open https://www.libib.com/u/hvlibrary in a browser by clicking this link

• Cick on the “Patron Login” link at the top right of the page

• Enter the email you provided when you signed up as a patron, then click on “Need Password?”

• An email will be sent to you with a default password created by LIBIB. (Check your 'Junk folder' if you don't see the email.)

• From then on, login with your email and password. If you want to change your password click on Edit Profile in the upper right of the page. 

Note that your Heritage Village Library account is not associated with any other Heritage Village data or profiles and is managed by the Heritage Village Library volunteers.
